Hatty Nestor

Hatty Nestor is a seasoned researcher, writer, and editor currently engaged with Goldsmiths, University of London since September 2021, focusing on the AHRC funded project 'Animating Archives'. This initiative connects doctoral researchers with various arts and archival professionals. In addition, Hatty serves as a Visiting Research Fellow at Museu d'Art Contemporani de Barcelona (MACBA) and works as a Trend/Behavioural Analyst for Canvas8. Hatty has extensive freelance experience as a copywriter for numerous organizations, including Steelcity, Erbology, and Guinness, and has held roles such as Guest Editor for MAP Magazine and Sub Editor for i-D. A former Assistant Editor at the Royal Academy of Arts and with a background in curating and editorial work at the Institute of Contemporary Arts, Hatty holds a PhD in Gender and Sexuality, Creative Non-Fiction from Birkbeck, University of London, a degree in Critical Writing in Art & Design from the Royal College of Art, and a History of Art degree from Goldsmiths, University of London.
