Diego A. is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as the Engineering Team Lead at MUI since May 2023, overseeing the Material UI team. Previously, Diego held the position of Ingeniero de software at Evernote from September 2021 to February 2023, where leadership was provided to the design system engineering team, focusing on the implementation of accessible components with React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS, as well as addressing over 500 accessibility issues. At Platanus from January 2020 to August 2021, Diego migrated a legacy task management application to React Native, successfully delivering it to over 1800 users, and led multiple web application projects utilizing Ruby on Rails, VueJS, and React Native. Diego earned a degree in software engineering from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile between 2015 and 2020, and earlier education was completed at John Dewey College from 2000 to 2014.
