Matthew Held has had a varied work experience. In 2011, they began as a Graduate Student Researcher at UC Davis. In 2013, they worked as a Research Associate II at Del Monte Fresh Produce N.A., Inc. In 2014, they were a Production Assistant at MillerCoors. In 2015, they were an Assistant Chef Instructor at Uncorked Kitchen & Wine Bar, as well as Owner of Elements Foods LLC, a dips and spreads business. In 2016, they worked as a Food Technologist at Juicero, developing raw, organic fresh fruit and vegetable blends and juice from bench top to commercial launch. In 2019, they were a Senior R&D Manager at Bright Foods. Finally, in 2021, they have been an R&D Manager at MUD\\WTR.
Matthew Held received their Master of Science in Food Science and Technology from the University of California, Davis in 2013. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Food Science from Penn State University in 2010. Matthew also holds a certification from the FDA's Better Process Control School.
