Wesley Chen currently serves as Chief Financial Officer at Mudflap, a position held since July 2023. Prior to this, Wesley held the same title at Petal from March 2022 to May 2023, and served as VP of Finance at Upstart between May 2018 and March 2022, where significant contributions included leading financial planning, engaging with investors, and playing a key role in the company’s IPO. Wesley's career began at Google, where as Senior Finance Manager from October 2009 to May 2018, responsibilities included forecasting and planning for Google’s diverse revenue streams and pioneering the use of machine learning in financial operations. Wesley holds a Master's degree from UC San Diego and a Bachelor's degree from Peking University.
