Joonas Turunen is a journalist currently working at MTV Oy since February 2023, focusing on politics and economics. Prior experience includes a journalist role at Helsingin Sanomat from June 2017 to December 2022, covering macroeconomics, corporate sectors, technology, and the automotive industry. Joonas co-authored the business non-fiction book "Pitch! - Innostavan tiivistämisen taito" during a tenure at Kustantamo S&S from September 2019 to September 2020. Earlier experience includes journalism and hosting roles at Yle from January 2009 to May 2017, where Joonas worked on various television and radio programs. Additionally, early career roles include museum guide at the National Board of Antiquities and tourist information officer for the City of Helsinki. Joonas holds a Master's degree in Social Sciences, with a focus on contemporary history, from the University of Helsinki, complemented by studies at Freie Universität Berlin.
