Melissa Bates is an experienced finance professional currently serving as a Treasury Accountant and Management Accountant at MTF Finance since April 2021. Prior to this role, Melissa worked at the University of Otago from March 2020 to April 2021 as a Finance Associate in Finance Advisory Services, providing financial performance support to various divisions and departments. Melissa has also held positions at PwC as a Senior Associate and Associate, focusing on financial assurance for a diverse range of clients, and briefly served as a Compliance Officer at MTF Finance. In earlier roles, Melissa gained customer service experience at the University of Otago Staff Club. Educational qualifications include becoming a Chartered Accountant from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and earning a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Management from the University of Otago.
