Stephan Biller is currently the Amrine Distinguished Professor of Industrial Engineering at Purdue University and a member of the National Academy of Engineering, elected for contributions to manufacturing technologies and innovations. As the founder and former CEO of Advanced Manufacturing International, Inc., Biller focused on accelerating digital transformation for small and medium manufacturers, receiving two CESMII awards for this work. Previous roles include Vice President of Product Management for AI Applications at IBM, where Biller directed numerous software products, and Chief Manufacturing Scientist at General Electric, leading initiatives to improve productivity through industrial analytics. Biller's academic foundation includes a PhD in Industrial Engineering from Northwestern University, an MBA from the University of Michigan, and a Diplom-Ingenieur in Electrical Engineering from RWTH Aachen University.
