Robert Lovas serves as Vice Director at HUN-REN SZTAKI since 1998, where responsibilities include IT and Operations, and has held various leadership roles in the Laboratory of Parallel and Distributed Systems. Alongside this, Robert Lovas holds the position of Science Policy Officer and Associate Professor at Óbuda University’s John von Neumann Faculty of Informatics, while also acting as the Deputy Director and founding Director of the Institute for Cyber-Physical Systems. Additional roles include Executive Board Member at EGI Foundation and Technical Coordinator at GAIA-X Hub Hungary. Robert Lovas has a strong academic background with a PhD and MSc in Informatics and Electrical Engineering, respectively, from Budapest University of Technology and Economics, and currently pursues a Habilitation at Óbuda University. Previous experience includes a research associate role at Emory University in 2000.
