Kavita Thakkar has extensive experience in the field of special education, particularly focused on deaf and hard of hearing students. Currently serving as a Deaf/Hard of Hearing Specialist at Mt. Pleasant Elementary School District since August 2017, Kavita ensures appropriate program placements for students and collaborates with district IEP teams to address service-related issues. Previously, Kavita worked as a Special Education Teacher with Ardor Health Solutions in Watsonville from September 2016 to June 2017 and held the position of Coordinator at Akshar Trust - Centre for Hearing Impaired Children from June 1998 to February 2015, where responsibilities included teaching, training, and program coordination. Kavita's educational qualifications include a Post Graduation Diploma in Guidance & Counseling and degrees in Special Education, along with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
