Ashley Martin is an experienced educator currently serving in dual roles as an Educator at MPESD and an Elementary School Teacher at Mt. Pleasant Elementary School District - Robert Sanders Elementary School since September 2014. Previously, Ashley held the position of 6th Grade English Language Arts/Science Teacher at K12 SV Flex Academy from August 2012 to September 2014 and was a Student Teacher at Leroy Anderson Elementary and San Jose State University from August 2011 to May 2012. Ashley's early career includes roles as an Information Assistant at Student Union, Inc. and a Teacher Aide at Rocketship Mateo Sheedy Elementary. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in Education Curriculum and Instruction and a Reading and Literacy Leadership Specialist Credential from San Jose State University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Elementary Education from the same institution.
