Phil Cooley has extensive experience in church music and youth ministry, serving as Associate Pastor at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church since August 1994, where responsibilities include planning and leading music for worship services and directing choirs for various age groups. Previous roles include Minister of Music and Youth at Ferris Hill Baptist Church (September 1986 - July 1994), Carbon Hill Baptist Church (1984 - 1986), and Central Baptist Church (1982 - 1984), with similar duties in each position. Phil Cooley holds a Master of Church Music degree from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (1979 - 1982) and a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Samford University (1972 - 1976).
