Carl Waden has extensive experience in education and religious leadership. Currently serving as an Adjunct Professor of History at The College of Southeastern since June 2012, Carl also holds the position of Senior Pastor at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church since December 2006. Previously, Carl was the Assistant Principal at Southern Lee High School from July 2006 to September 2008 and a Social Studies Teacher at Durham Public Schools from August 1997 to 2006. Carl's educational qualifications include an Ed.D. in Education from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (2008-2011), an MSA in Educational Leadership & Supervision from North Carolina Central University (2004-2006), and an MA in History, also from North Carolina Central University (1998-2001).
