Scott Segal is the Co-Head of Corporate Credit and a Co-Portfolio Manager of the MSD Credit Opportunity Funds, Private Credit Opportunity Funds, Special Investments Funds, and MSD Investment Corp. Prior to joining MSD in 2006, as a senior investment analyst, he worked at the Boston Consulting Group where he consulted to Fortune 500 businesses and at HarbourVest Partners, LLC, where he invested in late-stage technology companies. Scott began his career as an investment banking analyst at Salomon Brothers, which merged to become Salmon Smith Barney and later Citigroup, focused on corporate finance and M&A in the Telecom sector.
Scott sits on the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees of Hudson Guild, a non-profit in New York City which provides adult services, early childhood education, youth development and education, mental health services and arts programming with a primary focus on those in economic need.
Scott received a B.A. with Honors from Queen’s University in Canada. He received an M.B.A. from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated with honors.
