Max Hillaert is an experienced technology executive with a strong background in software engineering and system architecture, currently serving as Executive Director of Core and Data Engineering at MSCI Inc. since May 2017. Hillaert has successfully undertaken various leadership roles, including re-architecting legacy systems and steering cloud migration strategies to optimize costs. Previous positions include Vice President roles at both MSCI and Morgan Stanley, focusing on Scala development and DevOps initiatives. Hillaert initiated and led multiple greenfield projects throughout a career spanning several esteemed financial institutions and technology companies, beginning with a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Computer Science from Karel de Grote-Hogeschool.
