Michael Kennedy has a wide range of work experience spanning several companies. Michael started their career at Nortel Networks, where they held positions as a Financial Analyst, Divisional Financial Controller, and Management Accountant. Michael then moved on to AstraZeneca, where they worked as a Consultant before joining Atlas Copco as a Divisional Finance Manager. After that, they joined Fiver Optic Services as the Chief Financial Officer. Most recently, they have been with MSA Security as the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer.

Michael Kennedy attended University College Dublin, where they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Accounting and Finance in 1983. In 2019, they also received a Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) certification from the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE).
