Jim Holz, AICP has extensive experience in the field of planning and client services. Jim started their career as a Planner at Area XV Regional Planning Commission, where they administered housing rehabilitation programs and contributed to various community plans. Jim then joined East Central Intergovernmental Association as a Planner, working on CDBG grants and Community Builder Plans. Jim later moved to MSA Professional Services, where they held multiple roles including Team Leader, Vice President, and Director of Client Services. In these positions, they focused on developing client relationships, establishing business goals, and leading a team of Client Service Managers. Jim's expertise also includes grant writing, as they successfully secured grants for various projects.
Jim Holz, AICP obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography with an emphasis in Land Use Planning from Northern Arizona University in 1990. Jim also completed the Leadership Dubuque program in 2009. Additionally, Jim obtained certifications including AICP Certified from the American Institute of Certified Planners in 2005, AICP from the same institution, and Certified Grant Administrator from the Iowa Economic Development Authority.
