Jonas Van Hove has worked in the scientific field for the past five years. In 2020, they began working as a Principal Scientist for MRM Health. From 2015 to 2020, they worked as a Senior Scientist for Intrexon Actobiotics, where they were responsible for transitioning standard manual lab assays to optimized high-throughput workflows. Additionally, they were instrumental in the assembly of novel target compound banks using self-built public database search scripts. From 2014 to 2015, Jonas Van Hove worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Ghent University in Ghent, Belgium. During that time, they explored the feasibility of using plant suspension cultures as an in-house recombinant protein synthesis platform. Jonas also guided newly started PhD students in their group with the aim of transferring their expertise in proteomics techniques.
Jonas Van Hove attended Sint-Maarten Scholencampus in Beveren-Waas, Belgium from 1997 to 2003, where they obtained a High School degree in Latin-Sciences. Jonas then went on to pursue a Master's Degree in Cell and Gene Biotechnology at Ghent University in Ghent, Belgium from 2003 to 2008. Finally, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Applied Biological Sciences from Ghent University in 2014.
