Tara Simpson is a highly experienced professional in the field of laboratory science and project management. Currently serving as a Program Manager at MRIGlobal since November 2021, Tara maintains utilization reports, documents financial tracking, and manages project meetings with external stakeholders. Previously, as a Staff Scientist, Tara coordinated meetings on technical projects and led laboratory work for a multi-phase Crispr healthcare initiative. Experience at American Gene Technologies International Inc. includes co-establishing a CLIA certified COVID-19 lab and developing processes from extraction to analysis. Additional roles include Clinical Laboratory Scientist at UML (Ocean Biosciences)/Flow Health and Medical Technologist at Quest Diagnostics, where Tara was responsible for staffing, scheduling, and recommending training for laboratory personnel. Tara's academic background includes a Master's degree in Forensic Science from the University of New Haven and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Mary Washington.
