Graeme Parkes has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Graeme started their career as an Instructor at Calshot Activities Centre in 1985 and worked there for a year. In 1987, they joined RRAG, Imperial College, London university as a Graduate Research Assistant, where they worked until 1993. Graeme then joined MRAG Ltd in 1994 as a Projects Manager and held this position until 1996. In 1997, they joined MRAG Americas INC as a Vice President, and their tenure lasted until 2003. Graeme returned to MRAG Ltd in 2004 as the Deputy Managing Director and served in this role until 2010. Finally, they rejoined MRAG Americas INC in 2010 as a Vice President.

Graeme Parkes obtained a BSc in Zoology from Westfield College, London, from 1981 to 1984. Graeme then pursued an M.Sc. in Oceanography at Southampton University between 1986 and 1987. Continuing their educational journey, Graeme completed a Ph.D. in Fisheries Science at Imperial College, London University, from 1989 to 1993.
