Head of Data Science (Operations) at MQube

Laurence Mitchell has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Laurence began their career at Julie's Swim School as a Swimming Instructor, where they focused on providing personalized lessons and enhancing their communication and customer service skills. Laurence later worked as a Research Intern at BIOSPEC - University of Exeter, conducting infrared spectroscopy research on Alzheimer's brain tissue. During this role, they demonstrated adaptability by quickly learning and utilizing advanced microscopy techniques.

Laurence then pursued a Green Consultancy course at the University of Exeter, where they gained skills in conducting environmental audits and leading large-scale projects. Laurence also worked on a Green Consultancy research project during their time at the university.

In 2016, Laurence worked as Front of House Staff at Caper and Berry, where they handled catering and bar tending for weddings and corporate events. This role required him to work under high-pressure environments and adapt to meet clients' specific requirements.
