Tahmina Khanam has held various roles in different companies throughout their work experience. Tahmina started their career as a Lecturer in the Department of Management Studies at the University of Dhaka in November 2007. In 2009, they joined ClickDiagnostics, Inc. as a Program Manager, and later became the Head of Operations for Bangladesh from July 2010 to June 2011. In 2011, they worked at mPower Social Enterprises Limited as the Head of Operations for a brief period of August to November. Currently, they are the Head of Partnership Management at mPower Social Enterprises Ltd. However, specific start and end dates for this role were not provided.

Tahmina Khanam pursued their first degree from 1995 to 2002 at the University of Dhaka in Bangladesh. During this time, they obtained both a Bachelor's in Business Administration (BBA) and a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Strategic and International Management. Later, from 2005 to 2007, Tahmina attended the Rochester Institute of Technology, where they completed their second Master's degree, an MBA. Their studies at Rochester Institute of Technology focused on Management & Leadership, Marketing, and Public Policy.
