Jay Palat has extensive experience in AI and machine learning, currently serving as Head of AI/ML at mpathic since August 2023, where responsibilities include leading product strategy and integrating advanced technologies. As Principal at QOELabs, a position held since August 2016, Jay has been instrumental in growing engineering teams and enhancing leadership within the organization. Prior roles include Technical Director AI for Mission at the Software Engineering Institute, where Jay focused on AI engineering practices for mission-critical applications, and Director of Engineering at Rhiza Labs, overseeing multiple engineering and operations teams. An educator as well, Jay has taught mobile application development at the University of Pittsburgh, and possesses a strong foundation in software engineering, exemplified by past positions at UPMC, ModCloth, and IBM. Jay holds an MS in Information Technology from Carnegie Mellon University and a BS in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh.
