Martin Verwijmeren has an extensive work experience in the logistics and supply chain industry. Martin currently serves as the Managing Director - Industry Practices at Kinaxis since 2023. Prior to this, they were the CEO and Co-Founder of MP Objects (MPO), where they played a key role in developing the MPO Supply Chain Suite and building an organization of consultants and engineers. Martin also held the position of Chief Executive Officer at MP Objects. Before their time at MPO, Martin worked as the Vice-President IT at CEVA Logistics, where they were responsible for IT governance, solutions, services, applications, and infrastructure. Martin also served as the Director of IT at CEVA Logistics (former TNT), overseeing IT solutions, systems, services, and standards. Martin's earlier experience includes director-level roles at TNT and TNT Logistics, where they were responsible for IT projects, IT development, IT operations, and IT quality, as well as senior project management roles, primarily focused on business process re-engineering and implementing warehouse management systems. Martin began their career in the logistics sector at KPN and KPN Research, where they held various program manager and project manager positions, working on logistics systems development and internet services. Martin Verwijmeren has a strong background in software, sales, solutions, services, and IT governance within the logistics and supply chain industry.

Martin Verwijmeren began their education in 1981 at Mencia de Mendoza, where they completed their Preparatory University Education. Martin then went on to attend Eindhoven University of Technology from 1987 to 1992, earning a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Industrial Engineering & Management Science. Later, from 1994 to 1998, they returned to Eindhoven University of Technology to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree, specializing in Distributed Software Agents for Integral Inventory Management across Networked Organizations. In 1998, they also completed a Management Development Program at Nyenrode Business University.
