Moez Draief has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and prestigious institutions. Moez is currently serving as the Managing Director at Mozilla.ai, where they aim to facilitate the development of trustworthy AI products. Prior to this, Moez held the position of Visiting Professor at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) from 2020 to 2023.
Before their role at LSE, they served as the Global Chief Scientist and Vice President of Data Science & Engineering at Capgemini Invent from 2018 to 2022. At Huawei, Moez was the Head of AI Foundations and Chief Scientist Artificial Intelligence at Noah's Ark Lab from 2015 to 2019. During this time, they focused on machine learning for various networked systems, publishing numerous papers and inventing several patents.
Alongside their industry positions, Moez has also held academic positions. Moez was a Professor of Intelligent Systems at Imperial College London from 2007 to 2016 and served as a Visiting Professor at the University of Pennsylvania from 2012 to 2016. Additionally, they worked as a Research Scientist at Microsoft in 2011 and held the position of Lecturer & Marie Curie Research Fellow at the University of Cambridge from 2004 to 2007.
Moez Draief has a Master of Engineering - MEng degree from École Polytechnique, with a speciality in Applied Mathematics, Economics, and Computer Science. Moez also holds a DEA/MPhil degree in Mathematical Statistics and Probability from Pierre and Marie Curie University. Additionally, Moez Draief has a PhD in Applied Mathematics from Université Paris Cité.
