William Sutton has a diverse work experience in the construction industry. William started their career as a Project Engineer at Wohlsen Construction Company in 2006 and later became a Project Manager from 2010 to 2013. William then joined Fortune-Johnson, Inc. as a Project Manager from 2013 to 2015. After that, they joined Mowery Construction, first as a Project Manager from 2015 to 2018, then as the Vice President of Business Development from 2018 to 2022, and finally as the Vice President of Customer Experience from 2020 to 2022. William is currently the Chief Strategy Officer at Mowery Construction, starting in December 2022.
William Sutton earned a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from The Catholic University of America, where they studied from 1999 to 2004. Prior to that, they attended DeMatha Catholic High School from 1996 to 1999. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the LEED AP Building Design + Construction certification from USGBC in October 2008. Later on, they obtained multiple certifications from Procore Technologies, including Procore Certified: Associate in April 2016, Procore Certified: Project Manager (Core Tools) in December 2017, Procore Certified: Project Manager (Financial Management) in December 2017, Procore Certified: Project Manager (Project Management) in December 2017, and Procore Certified: Project Manager (Quality & Safety) in December 2017. William also became a Certified Drone Pilot (Part 107 uAS) by the Federal Aviation Administration in 2017. In terms of healthcare construction, they earned the Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) certification from the American Society for Health Care Engineering (ASHE) in February 2018. Their most recent certification is Transformative Leadership from Shenandoah University, which they obtained in July 2023.
