Chris Nicol is an accomplished electrical engineer with extensive experience in collaborative technology development, particularly in the field of interactive whiteboards and educational devices. Currently employed at SMART Technologies since July 2010, Chris has played key roles both as an electrical engineer and firmware engineer, contributing to the design and development of hardware and firmware for innovative products like the DViT interactive systems. Previous experience includes working as an electronics contractor for the Science Alberta Foundation and serving as an electronics engineer at Grindcom, where contributions were made to forestry control systems. Additionally, Chris has academic experience as a teaching assistant at the University of Calgary. Chris holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
