Charles Metzger has extensive work experience in the medical field. Charles currently holds the position of Associate Dean of Clinical Education at Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine. Previously, they served as the Chief of Staff at MountainView Regional Medical Center and was also the Chairman of the Department of Surgery. Additionally, they held various roles at MountainView Regional Medical Center, including Program Director of the Orthopedic Residency Training Program and Orthopedic Shoulder, Elbow, Wrist, and Hand Surgeon. Charles Metzger has a strong background in surgical and non-surgical treatment of upper extremities and has provided leadership and training to residents in the field.
Charles Metzger earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University between the years 1982 and 1986. Charles then went on to attend The University of Texas Medical Branch from 1988 to 1992, where they obtained their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. In addition to their formal education, Charles Metzger also received certification as a Fellow of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand in June 2011, from the American Society for Surgery of the Hand.
