Dr. Robert Toney is a medical professional serving as the Medical Director for the Occupational/Employee Health Department at Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida since December 2023. With a robust background in military and occupational health, Dr. Toney has held the position of Lt. Col. Flight Surgeon in the US Air Force Reserve since February 2012. Previously, Dr. Toney was the Medical Director for the Occupational Health & Wellness Services Program at the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority from May 2022 to February 2024 and served as the Area Medical Director and State Medical Director for Maryland at Pivot Occupational Health from April 2017 to April 2022. Dr. Toney earned an MD in Medicine from Howard University College of Medicine between 1993 and 1997 and furthered education at the University of Maryland Baltimore from 1997 to 2000.
