Matthew Brown is an experienced hospitality professional currently serving as the General Manager at both The Barrington Steakhouse and Pickford & Black with Murphy Hospitality Group since June 2021. Additionally, Matthew is an instructor at Mount Saint Vincent University. Previous roles include Manager of Events & Food Service for the Halifax Citadel Society and Food and Beverage Manager at Hilton Garden Inn, where responsibilities involved establishing the department from the ground up. Matthew’s career includes significant positions at Manga Hotels Inc., The Algonquin Resort, Lord Nelson Hotel & Suites, and seasonal roles at Fairmont hotels. Matthew earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management from Mount Saint Vincent University.
