Sonny Ponce is a dedicated educator with extensive experience in physical education and coaching. Currently serving as a Physical Education Teacher at Mount Pleasant Public Schools since September 2023, Sonny previously held the position of Boys' Athletic Coordinator at Pflugerville ISD from August 2016 to September 2023. Prior roles at Pflugerville ISD include Coaching and Physical Education from August 2012 to May 2015 and Science Teacher and Coach from August 2009 to May 2012. Earlier in the career, Sonny worked as a Science Teacher at South San Antonio ISD from August 2008 to May 2009. Sonny is pursuing a Master of Science in Sports Administration, Business Administration and Management, and Marketing Management at Southeastern Oklahoma State University, expected to be completed in December 2024, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from The University of Texas at San Antonio.
