Richard Carney is an accomplished senior project manager and vice president at Mott MacDonald, currently providing support for the HS2 N1N2 construction phase since December 2020. With extensive experience as a principal project manager at Mott MacDonald North America from January 2014, Richard has led the delivery of various transport capital projects in Southern California, including the California High Speed Rail and Los Angeles Metro Regional Rail programs. Previously, as a technical director at Mott MacDonald from February 1998 to January 2014, Richard specialized in numerous high-profile railway projects across the globe. Earlier career roles include senior engineer and project manager at Sir Alexander Gibb and Partners Ltd, and engineer at London Underground Ltd.
