Alan Nelson is an experienced engineering professional specializing in civil, structural, and nuclear engineering. Currently serving as Team Leader for the Power, Process and Nuclear division at Mott MacDonald since February 2015, Alan oversees resource management and strategic development. Prior experience includes roles as Project Manager and Safety Case Engineer at Babcock International Group PLC, where Alan managed safety review projects for large-scale, regulated infrastructure. Earlier positions include civil/structural engineering roles at Jacobs Engineering, contributing to significant projects such as the ITER in France and various naval base designs. Alan holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng Hons) in Civil Engineering from the University of Strathclyde and an MSc in Advanced Structural Engineering from Edinburgh Napier University.
