Ayappan Thirumalai has worked in various roles in the software industry since 2014. In 2014, they began working as a Quality Engineer at Trimble Inc., where they worked on implementing automation testing through Gherkins Language and validated data in Kafka topic by consuming events using .NET consumer libraries. In 2018, they moved to Qube Cinema as an Engineer - Test TL2 and Software Engineer Level II, where they automated RESTFul services and media players. In 2019, they joined Samsung Electronics as an Engineer II Quality Assurance, where they worked closely with product managers to understand requirements, write test cases, and identify gaps in missing requirements. Currently, they are working as a Software Quality Engineer at Motorq.

Ayappan Thirumalai has a comprehensive education history. Ayappan obtained their X degree from Smt.N.D.J.A.Vivekananda Vidyalaya from 1996 to 2008, studying Science. Ayappan then obtained their XII degree from DAV Mat Hr Sec School, Gill Nagar from 2008 to 2010, studying Computer Science. Ayappan went on to obtain their Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology from Vel Tech Multi Tech Dr. Rangarajan Dr. Sakunthala Engineering College from 2010 to 2014. Additionally, they obtained two certifications from Aspiring Minds, including an AMCAT Certified Proficiency in English in November 2014 and an AMCAT Certified Software Development Trainee in September 2014.
