Indranil Maji has a diverse work experience in the fields of deep learning engineering, perception in autonomous driving, research, and software engineering. Their most recent role was as a Deep Learning Engineer at MOTOR Ai, where they focused on developing deep learning modules related to camera perception in autonomous driving. Prior to that, they worked as a Working Student at the same company, contributing to projects in the same field. Before joining MOTOR Ai, Indranil worked as a Research Assistant and Student Assistant at Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg, where they gained experience in research and academic support. Their initial work experience was as a Software Engineer at Mindtree, where they worked on web-based applications for the hospitality industry using Java, Spring, Hibernate, Angular JS, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. During their time at Mindtree, they focused on application development, troubleshooting, and resolving issues based on SQL and query-based logic. Indranil Maji completed their Master of Science degree in Data and Knowledge Engineering from Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg between 2019 and 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Engineering from Netaji Subhash Engineering College, where they studied from 2011 to 2015. Before their undergraduate studies, they completed their Class XII education at D.A.V. Public School from 2009 to 2011. Indranil's Class X education took place at St. Joseph's Convent High School from 1997 to 2009.

In addition to their formal education, Indranil Maji also obtained several certifications. Indranil completed the "Neural Networks and Deep Learning" course from Coursera in August 2018. In June 2017, they received a certification in "Python for Big Data" from Edureka. In January 2017, Indranil became certified as an "Angular JS Developer" by Edureka.
