Johan Ljung has extensive work experience in the retail industry, primarily within sports and outdoor retailers. Johan started their career at Stadium in 2001, where they worked in various roles including salesman, key account manager, and acting store manager. Johan then joined XXL All Sports United in 2010, where they held multiple positions such as store manager, country operations manager, retail operations development manager, and interim managing director. In these roles, they were responsible for areas such as store performance, personnel management, supplier contracts, and strategic development. In 2022, Johan Ljung became the managing director at Motonet. Overall, their experience spans from operational management to strategic planning and execution in the retail industry.

Johan Ljung attended Västergårdsgymnasiet from 1999 to 2002, where they completed their high school education with a focus in science, specifically oriented towards chemistry. Afterward, in 2002, Johan enrolled in the KTH Royal Institute of Technology for a year, taking individual courses in the fields of chemistry, biology, and mathematics.
