John Tabakian's work experience includes a role as a Mechatronics Engineer at Motiv Space Systems, Inc. starting in September 2021. John was previously an Automation Engineer at TTM Technologies from July 2021 to September 2021. Before that, they worked at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) as a Program and Event Management, Technology Supervisor from September 2018 to July 2021, where they oversaw the setup and management of events and operated equipment for indoor and outdoor venues. John also served as a Safety Officer at Unmanned Aerial Systems at UCLA from September 2020 to June 2021.

John held multiple roles at ASME at UCLA, including Technical Vice President from April 2020 to June 2021 and X1 Robotics Project Lead from April 2018 to April 2020. John was an Automation Engineering Intern at TTM Technologies from June 2020 to December 2020. John served as the Internal Vice President at Unmanned Aerial Systems at UCLA from September 2017 to June 2020. Additionally, they had a Summer Internship at PASADENA AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR, LLC in July 2018 and worked as a Summer Camp Counselor at AGBU Pasadena-Glendale Chapter Summer Day Camp in June 2017.

John Tabakian completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering with a Technical Breadth in Computer Science at UCLA from 2017 to 2021. In addition, they obtained a certification as a Certified SOLIDWORKS Associate in Mechanical Design from Dassault Systèmes in December 2020.
