Sascha Kaczmarek is a co-founder and COO of MotionMiners GmbH, a spin-off of the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics (IML) in Dortmund. Sascha has been working in this role since October 2017. At MotionMiners, they utilize mobile sensors, radio transmitters, and machine learning algorithms to enable automated process analyses of manual work processes. This technology supports production and logistics planners in analyzing productivity and ergonomics of manual work processes to uncover optimization potential.

Prior to MotionMiners, Sascha worked as a Research Associate at Fraunhofer IML from May 2017 to July 2019. Sascha was responsible for conducting research projects during this time.

Before that, Sascha was a Process Engineer at Vanderlande from January 2016 to April 2017. Sascha'srole involved process engineering in the company.

From October 2012 to December 2015, Sascha worked as a Research Associate at the Chair of Materials Handling and Warehousing, TU Dortmund. Here they were responsible for teaching in the area of material flow calculation and picking and sorting systems, as well as implementing research projects. Sascha also collaborated with the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics (IML) on planning and process optimization projects. Prior to this role, they were a Graduate Research Assistant from October 2011 to September 2012 and a Student Research Assistant from January 2011 to September 2011 at the same institution.

Sascha started their professional career as an Intern at Jäckering Mühlen- und Nährmittelwerke GmbH in October 2010. Sascha later interned at Knepper GmbH from December 2008 to February 2009. Additionally, Sascha worked as a Swimming Instructor at Matchpoint Sports Canarias S.L. from May 2007 to September 2007.

Sascha Kaczmarek obtained a Bachelor's degree in Logistics from TU Dortmund University, starting in 2007 and finishing in 2011. They then pursued a Master's degree in Logistics from the same university, starting in 2011 and completing it in 2012.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Sascha also holds various certifications. In 2012, they obtained a certification in SAP ERP (TERP10) from the University of Duisburg-Essen. Subsequently, they obtained certifications in Social Skills - Structorgram Training from STRUCTOGRAM Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG in 2013, Presentation & Rhetoric from cum-Training Lübeck and Fraunhofer IML Dortmund in 2013, Communication Skills from ü² - Damit Erfolg zur Folge wird. in 2014, Facilitating Successful Meetings from Target Training GmbH in 2014, and Project Management from Zentrum für HochschulBildung - zhb in 2015.
