Omobayonle Olatunji has a diverse and extensive work experience. Starting in 2008, they interned at Microsoft as an Explorer Intern, followed by another internship as a PM Intern in 2010. Omobayonle then joined Microsoft as a Program Manager in 2011, where they built telephony features and experiences for Windows Phone. In 2016, Olatunji co-founded Symphoni, a platform that incubates small/medium businesses from ideation to operation. Symphoni was later acquired by Remitly in 2019. At Remitly, Olatunji held various roles, including Software Engineer II, Senior Software Development Engineer, and Technical Lead of Passbook. In these roles, they contributed to the development and launch of Passbook, a digital banking product that earned recognition as one of TIME's 100 best inventions of 2020. Omobayonle also set interview and hiring guidelines, guided technical direction, mentored engineers, and led them through large features. In 2021, Olatunji joined Mothership as a Principal Software Engineer.
Omobayonle Olatunji received a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2010. Prior to that, Olatunji attended Ajoke International School and Morrow High, but no specific degree or field of study information is available for those institutions.
