Alexei Kazantsev is a highly accomplished biochemist with extensive experience in therapeutic antibody development and biomaterial optimization. As Senior Director at Mosaic Biosciences since 2012, Kazantsev has led the design and execution of programs targeting oncological applications, enhancing the production of challenging GPCRs and developing hydrogel matrices for Big Pharma partnerships. Previous roles as Principal Scientist and Senior Scientist at the same company involved significant contributions to therapeutic protein optimization and advanced wound healing materials. Prior to Mosaic Biosciences, Kazantsev served as a PostDoc and Research Faculty at the University of Colorado at Boulder, specializing in structural biology, and as a Research Assistant at UC Berkeley, where work included nucleotide analog interference mapping. Kazantsev holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Indiana University Bloomington and a Master's degree from Novosibirsk State University.
