Beatriz Martins has a diverse work experience in the field of scientific research. Beatriz began their career as a Laboratory Technician at the University of Helsinki in September 2012 and worked there until May 2015. After that, they joined Valo Therapeutics Ltd as a Research Assistant and Master's Thesis Student from October 2016 to December 2018. Beatriz then returned to the University of Helsinki as a Laboratory Manager from January 2019 to March 2021. Currently, they are employed as a Junior Scientist at Mosa Meat starting from April 2021.

Beatriz Martins completed their Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Laboratory Sciences from Escola Superior de Tecnologia da Saúde de Lisboa from 2008 to 2012. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Biotechnology from the University of Helsinki, which they completed from 2014 to 2020.
