Karlis Lapsins has been in the software engineering industry since 2007. Karlis began their career at Liquidity Baltic as a Software Engineer, then moved to Tehnio in 2008 and mendo in 2009, where they held the same role. In 2011, they became the Lead Software Engineer at CDI Ltd. In 2015, Karlis joined Showroom Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer and Lead Mobile Engineer. Karlis then moved to Vesta in 2016, where they held the same roles. In 2018, Karlis joined Sensei as a Senior Software Engineer and Lead Mobile Engineer. Karlis is currently a Co-Founder & Principal Product Engineer at Morty, a role they have held since 2020.

Karlis Lapsins obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Rīgas Tehniskā universitāte (Riga Technical University) between 2007 and 2012. Prior to that, they attended Ogre State Technical School from 2003 to 2007. Karlis then went on to pursue a Master of Science in Computer Science at Rīgas Tehniskā universitāte (Riga Technical University) from 2012 to 2014. Before that, they attended Ogre State Grammar school from 1994 to 2003.
