Peter Jones is a Chartered Engineer and a Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (MIET).

Their most recent work experience was at Morpheus Data, where they worked as a Delivery Engineer starting in June 2020.

Before that, they worked at AstraZeneca in various roles. From January 2020 to June 2020, they served as a DataOps Lead, providing Enterprise Design thinking and support across multiple domains of architecture. Prior to that, from May 2018 to January 2020, they worked as an Enterprise Architect, responsible for data architecture sign-off, architecture assessments, and participating in enterprise workgroups. From January 2016 to May 2018, they were a Solutions Architect, focusing on tooling and automation architecture. And from October 2014 to January 2016, they worked as a Hosting Technical Engineer, leading the "Code Red" team and providing technical support for high-priority incidents.

Earlier in their career, Peter worked at QVC as an Infrastructure Design and Build Manager for Europe from December 2013 to October 2014. Peter also served as a Unix and Middleware Manager from May 2010 to December 2013, and as an Infrastructure Analyst from December 2005 to May 2010.

Prior to QVC, Peter worked at Telewest Broadband as a Unix Systems Administrator from October 2003 to December 2005.

At the start of their career, Peter was a Unix Consultant at Sandyx Systems. Here, they provided Unix and Veritas consultancy to various clients, including Marks and Spencer, NTL, and Your Communications.

Before their career in IT, Peter worked as a Geologist at Baker Hughes Inteq from 1995 to 2000.

Peter Jones CEng MIET has a comprehensive education history that includes various degrees and certifications. Peter obtained a BSc Hons degree in Geology from the University of Leicester, where they studied from 1992 to 1995. Prior to that, they attended Mold Alun 6th Form from 1990 to 1992, and Argoed High School from 1985 to 1990.

In addition to their education, Peter Jones has obtained several certifications. Peter became a Chartered Engineer (CEng) in August 2020 from the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET). Peter also holds certifications such as Morpheus Certified Administrator from Morpheus Data | Hybrid-Cloud Management Platform, TOGAF 9 Certified from The Open Group, DevOps Foundation Certificate from the DevOps Institute, Sun Certified Systems Administrator on Solaris 9 and Solaris 8 from Sun Microsystems, AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate and AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services, and Prince2 Certified Practitioner from APM Group.

The certifications obtained by Peter Jones span various years, with the most recent being the Morpheus Certified Administrator in January 2022.
