With over 15 years of process development, scale-up and commercialization experience in the biotechnology space, Jim is excited to bring this experience to lead the Process Development team at Mori Foods.
At multiple other start-up companies, Jim has developed and scaled-up depth filtration, TFF, and chromatography processes for cell therapy and biologics applications. Jim also led teams that developed a patented process for converting corn stover into biofuels, and scaled an enzyme process from the bench top to commercial scale to produce cellulosic ethanol. He is excited to work to improve Mori’s silk production process to enable the elimination of food waste.
Jim received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota.
