Wafaa Abuzayda is an experienced professional serving as the Commonwealth Corps Employment & Partnership Coordinator at More Than Words since August 2019, where responsibilities include mentoring over 40 youth in employment development, guiding career exploration, and delivering training workshops. Wafaa has effectively developed employer partnerships and organized community-building events while ensuring school attendance compliance. Prior to this role, Wafaa completed a summer internship with the Palestinian Association for Empowerment & Local Development, focusing on administrative tasks, conflict resolution discussions, and research for employment opportunities in marginalized communities. Wafaa holds a Master's degree in International Studies from the University of San Francisco and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Birzeit University.
