David Noonan has a long history of work experience in the medical field. In 2005, they began their career as a Design Engineer at St. James's Hospital. In 2006, they moved on to become a Visiting Research Associate at King's College London. From 2008 to 2012, they were a Research Associate at Imperial College London, where they developed a series of articulated robotic devices to enhance access, imaging and functional sensing in a minimally invasive surgical environment. From 2012 to 2015, they worked at Philips as a Senior Member of Research Staff and Member Research Staff. Finally, from 2015 to 2020, they worked at Auris Health, Inc. in roles such as Senior Director - Systems, Algorithms and Robotics, Director - Systems, Algorithms and Robotics, Manager of Systems Engineering, and Staff Clinical Engineer. In 2020, they began working as the Chief Technology Officer at Moon Surgical.
David Noonan received their BEng in Mechatronics from Dublin City University in 2005. David then went on to complete an MRes in Mechanical Engineering at King's College London in 2006. Finally, they completed their PhD in Medical Robotics at Imperial College London in 2011.
