Russ Wainwright

Director Navy Products - Global Sustainment at Moog

Russ Wainwright has over 35 years of work experience, primarily in the aerospace industry. Russ worked at Moog Inc. starting in 2003, where they held the position of Director Navy Products - Global Sustainment. In this role, they were responsible for the business growth, revenue, and value generation of various products, including F/A-18 A-F Leading Edge Flap System and Wingfold Actuation, Engine Controls, V-22 Primary Controls, Vibration Control System (VCAS), and MH 60 Seahawk Primary and VCAS Control Systems. Russ also led public-private enterprise efforts with several organizations and oversaw the global F/A-18 LEF sustainment efforts.

Prior to their time at Moog Inc., Russ served in the United States Air Force and Air Force Reserve, starting in 1985 as an Aircraft Maintenance Officer until 2008. Additionally, they worked at AAR CORP. from 2000 to 2002 as a Commercial Sales Manager, specializing in composites.

Russ Wainwright holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, which they obtained in 1983. Russ also completed the Executive Management Development Program in Management at Southern Methodist University in 1994. Additionally, Wainwright pursued an MBA in Aerospace-Defense from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and holds a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification from the Haslam College of Business at the same university.
