Scott Thomson has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Scott is currently employed as an Engineering Manager at Monzo Bank, a role they started in April 2022. Prior to this, Scott worked at Just Eat Takeaway.com as a Technology Manager, where they were responsible for leading and managing a team of backend engineers. Scott also worked as a Senior Engineer and Engineer at the same company, contributing to the re-architecture of aging APIs and developing .NET services in AWS. Before joining Just Eat Takeaway.com, Scott was a Software Engineer at ASOS.com, where they focused on the development and support of services and APIs related to search, categories, and navigation. Scott also has experience as an Analyst Programmer at Citywire, where they worked on delivering high-performance systems using .NET technologies. Scott's career began at SIMUL8 Corporation, where they started as a Software Developer and later became a Development Team Lead. In this role, they were responsible for task delegation, team development, and the technical direction of new and existing products. Throughout their career, Scott has demonstrated strong technical skills and a focus on delivering impactful solutions.

Scott Thomson completed their BSc(Hons) in Applied Computing from the University of Dundee, from 2007 to 2011. Prior to that, they attended Monifieth High School from 2001 to 2007. In addition to their formal education, they obtained certifications in Principles of Management and Leadership (Level 3) with Distinction from the Chartered Management Institute in July 2021, Building High-Performance Teams from LinkedIn in October 2020, Confronting Bias: Thriving Across Our Differences from LinkedIn in August 2020, and SCRUM Master from Scrum Alliance in June 2014.
