Joseph Taylor has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of software engineering. Joseph started their career at The Phoenix Partnership (TPP) as a Software Engineer, where they worked on data migration components and implemented client-side and server-side features. Joseph then joined thebigword as a Software Developer, focusing on web and desktop systems using C# and .NET Framework. At JUST EAT, they worked as a Software Engineer, designing and maintaining high-volume transactional components of a distributed platform. Next, at the BBC, they served as a Senior Software Engineer, designing and implementing high-volume web applications and message-oriented applications. After that, they joined Pivotal Labs as a Senior Software Engineer and later as a Staff Software Engineer, where they worked with various clients and contributed to projects while coaching teams in agile practices. Currently, they are working at Monzo Bank as a Senior Software Engineer and Tech Lead, building and maintaining the Savings Marketplace and improving the scalability of core services. Joseph Taylor completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Mandarin, French, and Linguistics from Newcastle University between 2005 and 2009. In 2007 to 2008, they also pursued a Bachelor's degree in Mandarin Chinese at Chongqing University. Additionally, they obtained several certifications including "Build a Modern Computer from First Principles: Nand to Tetris Part II (project-centered course)" and "Build a Modern Computer from First Principles: From Nand to Tetris (Project-Centered Course)" from Coursera in May 2021 and April 2021 respectively. In May 2015, they received the "BerkeleyX: CS188.1x Artificial Intelligence" certification from edX.
