Klaas Stijnen is a seasoned actuary with extensive experience in the insurance industry, serving as Co-Founder and Co-CEO at Montoux since January 2012, where Klaas addresses challenges in actuarial modeling tools. Prior to Montoux, Klaas held the position of Senior Manager Actuarial Services at Deloitte New Zealand, managing diverse actuarial and risk management engagements. Initial experience included roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers, managing significant projects related to pension asset transitions and serving as a junior consultant on various actuarial topics. Klaas also worked at Fortis in asset and liability management and held an earlier role at PricewaterhouseCoopers focused on risk pricing and technical provisions. Educational qualifications include a Master’s in Actuarial Sciences from the University of Amsterdam and fellowships from both the New Zealand Society of Actuaries and the Dutch Actuarial Society.
