Thomas Smith is a Junior Aerospace Engineer at Monte Sano Research Corporation, specializing in Guidance Navigation and Controls within DEVCOM AvMC since June 2023. Prior to this role, Thomas worked as a Test Engineer for the Auburn University Rocketry Association from August 2022 to May 2023, contributing to projects for NASA's USLI competition and the Argonia Rocket competition. Responsibilities included preparing components for testing, documenting and analyzing data, and ensuring proper integration during launch competitions. Additionally, Thomas interned as a Thermal Analyst for the Auburn University Small Satellite Program from May to December 2022, developing thermal models for satellites under contracts with various national defense agencies. Thomas holds a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering from Auburn University, earned in May 2023.
